There is an unofficial book choice for December ladies! Though many of us have busy social schedules that make planning a book club date, let alone reading a novel, in December difficult, others of us still want nothing more than to meet with our fellow book club friends, soooo....if you can fit it in, Dec 11 is the date for an unofficial discussion of the the book Twilight by Stephanie Meyer as well as an ornament exchange. $10 is the BCSRP! (That's Book Club Suggested Retail Price for those not in retail sales) To be held at BF's house.
For January, The Shack by William Young has been chosen and is, from all I have heard, likely to elicit some intense conversation. I can hardly wait to get into either of them! I ordered both online tonight through Half.com

I was at my brother and sister-in-law's this weekend for a family function and more than six women there have read or are reading Twilight and all of them raved about it. There was some guilt about it supposedly being for "teenagers" but most agreed that it was a great read. I'm excited to get into it! A good December read to relax with before we get heavy with the Shack. Do we have a January location or time yet? I know we've got the ornament exchange/Twilight discussion, but let's get January scheduled before we all get busy....
I know I am excited to get into Twilight, it will make me feel like I am up on the current "scene". Seems like we did pick a Jan location but I guess I need a reminder. Amanda do you remember? I'm open if we need a place to meet.
I read Twilight in 3 days. It was pretty good. I am starting the next one. TINA

Hi all, I finished all four books in the Twilight series in about 9 days. My house and kids were definitely neglected! I was totally engrossed, I absolutely loved them. My 13 year old daughter and I went to see the movie and I was just as excited about seeing Edward Cullen as she was! I have all four books if anyone is interested!

I am on Eclipse and about half way through...and loving it! Where are we doing January's book club? I could possibly do it here, but it would have to be a little later (around 8) so the chaos is minified...
I haven't yet read any more of the twilight series, just haven't gotten my hands on them. I did finish a book called Dry by Augusten Burroughs. It is an interesting memoir written by a recovering homosexual alcoholic (and now for something totally different!) Now I am ready to start The Shack. Geez, I'm not sure where we said we would hold our Jan. meeting. I can do it here also and would be happy to do so!
