January Book Club Date Set
As she has been able to squeeze in the time, (while sacrificing listening to her new Kid Rock CD's to do so!) Sharon G. has volunteered her home for Jan. Book Club. The date will be Thurs. Jan. 22nd. Sharon is listening to the book on CD and says she is suffering through it. I am three quarters done with the book and I am finding it interesting but having to read paragraphs over and over and sometimes still just not getting it as fast as Mack does. Still, looking forward to our discussion. Amanda, can you please forward this post to all the book club members, the blog limits me to ten automatic forwards. Keep in mind ladies, if you did not receive this directly from me then you can sign up on the blog for automatic notice of new posts! Thank you so much and if you have questions about how to log on please don't hesitate to call! Toni K

New book picks for Dec and Jan
There is an unofficial book choice for December ladies! Though many of us have busy social schedules that make planning a book club date, let alone reading a novel, in December difficult, others of us still want nothing more than to meet with our fellow book club friends, soooo....if you can fit it in, Dec 11 is the date for an unofficial discussion of the the book Twilight by Stephanie Meyer as well as an ornament exchange. $10 is the BCSRP! (That's Book Club Suggested Retail Price for those not in retail sales) To be held at BF's house.
For January, The Shack by William Young has been chosen and is, from all I have heard, likely to elicit some intense conversation. I can hardly wait to get into either of them! I ordered both online tonight through Half.com
FYI: I have made a comment about tonights discussion on The Time Traveler's Wife under the post of the same name

Hello ladies! Let's give this a try!
I thought this might be a good way to see how others in the group were progressing with our novels. It would be a place to post opinions and synopsis' of our group discussions too. We'll see! Toni

The Time Travelors Wife
I finished the book. I liked it, but found the middle of the book a bit slow. Totally not getting the significance of the unrequited love by Gomez.
